Wheels Boutique – Mercedes SLR McLaren x ADV10R Track Spec CS
There are some things in life that must be allowed to age over time before true appreciation can develop. Over a decade ago, two behemoths in the automotive industry came together to produce a vehicle that is now widely considered a classic. An absolute monster dressed up in a German tuxedo, the SLR was a stunning result of the legendary McLaren Racing Team working hand-in-hand with the boys at Mercedes-Benz. They single-handedly created the first super grand tourer and to this day, the SLR - with its hand-built supercharged V8 engine producing 617 horsepower - still puts more modern supercars to shame.
These fully polished ADV10R Track Spec Competition Series wheels play well off the side exiting exhaust tips and the aggressively gill like fender vents. Stare at it and savor the moment because it’s likely that we’ll never see a partnership of this magnitude get it so right ever again.
